Description | The domed structure of the Royal Albert Hall, next to Hyde Park, is prominent in this aerial view. The Albert Memorial is in front of the Hall. In the background the Serpentine snakes its way through the trees. This is the centre of the museums district. The Natural History Museum and the corner of the Victoria and Albert Museum are along Cromwell Road in the foreground. The newly finished Science Museum, designed by Sir Richard Allison in Portland stone, is on the corner of Exhibition Road and Imperial College Road. The two long vistas leading to the Park are Queens Gate on the left and Exhibition Road to the right. |
