Reconstruction work at Hammersmith Underground station, Piccadilly and District lines. View looking down platform from far end of Platform 1. A wooden extension has been built onto the outer edge of the platform, filling the gap made by the new (curved) track layout (Piccadilly line Western Extension) laid after the semi-dismantling of Platform 2 opposite. Passengers stand in background on Platform 1, a train of Feltham Stock just visible in extreme right. The half dismantled exit stairs from Platform No.2 stand foreground left.
