Description | High angle view of the platforms at Northfields station, looking west towards the box-like station building which can be seen in the background; the westbound platform is on the left of the shot, with the eastbound on the right. The view shows the flat platform canopies, the Bauhaus-style hoop-and-globe lights on concrete posts, and combined concrete roundel/poster panels. Note the concrete walkway in the foreground, which runs from the eastern end of the eastbound platform to Weymouth Avenue, forming a secondary entrance to the station. |
