Piccadilly line guard Mr R W Thorogood, of Uxbridge depot, looking along the platform at Holborn Underground station, with his left hand resting on the push-button door control. Note also the shovel lightshade, the pull-down passenger alarm, and the fire extinguisher (partly obscured by Mr Thorogood's arm).
