Sketchbook containing eight ink drawings showing scenes at London Underground platforms and inside Tube trains of unidentified stations. The artist seems to had drawn these sketches in a sketchbook which were later cut and attached to a different sketchbook. Austin Taylor made a series of ink sketches of the London Underground in the 1970s and possibly early 1980s and was not commissioned by London Transport for these designs. These rough sketches seem to be preparatory works for Taylor's larger oil paintings, some of which are part of London Transport Museum's collection.
