    OUR UPGRADE PLAN / DISTRICT LINE / The District line was first opened in 1868. It’s time for an upgrade. / So from 2013 we will be introducing new air-conditioned trains with / walk-through carriages and installing a new, state-of-the-art signalling / system for a faster and more frequent service. Track work is also being / carried out to improve reliability. Please bear with us.
