Description | Colour digital image of a street scene featuring a pedestrian crossing covered with an abstract 'flash' pattern in black and yellow. The 'flash crossing' located at the western end of Coldharbour Lane in Brixton, links Windrush Square to Brixton Road. This crossing was installed on 3rd October 2017 and was one of four crossings designed by Eley Kishimoto, a Brixton-based British fashion and design company. The designs were created using patterned tiles which were laid over the original pedestrian crossings. The four installations were designed as part of Brixton Design Trail and were installed at zebra crossings outside the Dogstar at the junction of Atlantic, Railton and Coldharbour in Brixton. |
