---|---|
Description | View looking down Kemble Street as seen from the junction with Drury Lane, looking north. Just beyond the junction a coal lorry is pulled up to the kerb, loaded with sacks of coal. The buildings in this street are mostly six storeys high, and also mainly anonymous. Several pedestrians mill about at the junction, one in a uniform of some kind with a peaked cap. A poster mounted on the wall of the building on the right of the shot announces the availability of evening classes. Note this shot is a reverse of 1999/9631 which looks down Drury Lane from the same junction, looking east towards the Aldwych. |
