Description | Metropolitan line platform no 1 at Baker Street station, looking northwards. An illuminated sign with Mexican arrow is suspended from a roof girder, midground right; another sign, pointing to the stairs to the Bakerloo line, can be seen further along the platform. The rather squat columns on the right have a cream faience finish dating from before the First World War. A woman sits on a bench, background right; behind her is a metal-framed station name roundel. |
