Douglas MacPherson, born 1871 in Abridge, Essex, died 1851. Designed posters for the Underground Group and London Transport 1927-1933

Biography:

Douglas MacPherson studied art at the Westminster School of Art. He was an illustrator for the 'Daily Graphic' from 1890 to 1913 and later for 'The Sphere'. In 1907 he exhibited at the Royal Academy. MacPherson was a member of St John's Wood arts Club and the Arts Worker's Guild.
