Biography:

Montague B Black was a painter, illustrator and poster artist. Around 1910 a number of his paintings were registered at Stationers Hall for commercial use, these are now held at the Public Record Office at Kew. Black lived and exhibited in Liverpool around 1912 and produced work for the White Star Line. He produced posters and decorative maps for railway companies including the LNER and British Railways.
