Biography:

Margaret Curtis Haythorne was a wood engraver and painter. Her brother Edmund was also an artist. Whilst studying at the Central School of Arts and Crafts, she worked with Muriel Jackson on painted decorations for one of the staircases. Haythorne exhibited in Liverpool and at the Royal Academy and Redfern Gallery in London. She became an associate member of the Society of Wood Engravers in 1924.
