Biography:

Keith Cunningham left school at 15 to work in the advertising department of David Jones, Sydney's largest retailer. Intent on becoming a designer and inspired by the industry around him, he took up evening classes at East Sydney Technical College. In 1949 he moved to London to further his training. His promise and professionalism earned him a place at the Central School and RCA. He graduated with a first class fine art degree and a travelling bursary. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and with the London Group. Although painting was his passion, it was graphic art that shaped Cunningham's career. He designed numerous striking book and magazine covers and taught at London College of Printing for 40 years.
