Biography:

Jeffrey Camp spent much of his early career in Suffolk painting the bleak East Anglian coastline. As a landscape painter, his work has explored the meeting points and transitional zones between earth, sea and sky. He was awarded several travelling scholarships where he was able to further his investigations into landscape. He also paints portraits. Camp has taught at the Chelsea School of Art (1960-1961) and the Slade School of Fine Art (1963-1988). He was elected a member of the London Group in 1961. He is also the author of 'Draw: How to master the art' (1981), which displayed his exquisite draftsmanship and 'Paint' (1986).
