Duncan Lamb

Biography:

Duncan Lamb worked for London Transport Architects department between the years 1974-1994. He worked here as a designer and continued to work for London Transport as a consultant after LT architects was closed down in the late 1990s. He produced a number of artworks including paintings and watercolours, and also illustrated posters for London Transport from the mid-1980's. Some of his artworks were produced as postcards, including a set called 'A century of London Transport'. He designed the interior for a number of stations including Oxford Circus, Bank, Monument, Charing Cross (Northern Line) and Tottenham Court Road. Some of his designs can be found in the book 'Changing Stations: A review of recent London Underground Station Design'. He won the British Architectural Design Award silver medal in 1987 for Tottenham Court road, and was also hung twice at the Royal Academy Summer exhibitions, both in London Transport related subjects in 1991 and 1992.
