Dorrit Dekk is a painter, printmaker and commercial designer. She studied at art school in Vienna, during the troubled period of 1937 to 1938, when Hitler was in power. It was there she met actor and director Max Reinhart. Between 1946 and 1948 she worked for the Central Office of Information. In 1949 she worked as a stage designer and illustrator in Cape Town. She worked in London from 1950 to 1979, where notable clients included Air France. She designed exhibitions, displays and numerous posters, including one for British Rail. Dekk has had solo exhibitions at the Clarendon Gallery and the Maltings Gallery, Farnham.
