Dorothy Dix was a landscape painter, based in Wandsworth, London. Whilst at art school she met her future husband, George Dix, who later designed the large ceramic map at Victoria Station. She exhibited two paintings at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition; Evening in a Cotswold village (1931) and Winter cheer (1947).
