  • Educated; The Slade School of Fine Art; 1956-1960

Biography:

The contemporary realist painter Anthony Green frequently deals with his own domestic life in his work. His paintings often show humorous and sometimes intimate nuances of Green's relationship with his wife. He is best known for his asymmetrical canvases which endeavour to recreate the world as we see it: a complex pictorial space with multiple perspectives. Many of his works are somewhere between painting and sculpture, painting on free standing objects. He has travelled in France and the United States on scholarships. Green created a work 'Resurrection' which toured British cathedrals to celebrate the Millennium.
