District Railway garden competition 1928. Three of the judges, Sir Ernest Clark, Mr Murray Griffith and Colonel Sir Herbert Jekyll, pose with the uniformed Inspector Stevenson beside the herbaceous border on the westbound platform at Ealing Common Underground station, which won a first prize. Note also solid disc station name roundel, blank advertising board, and lamppost with spiral decoration on stem.
