District Railway garden competition 1928. Judges inspecting the garden adjoining the platform at Northfields and Little Ealing (now Northfields) Underground station, to which they awarded a third prize. A uniformed member of staff, probably a train guard as he is carrying a furled flag in his right hand, and has a whistle attached to his lapel, stands foreground left. A second staff member, partially concealed by the station name roundel, can be seen in the garden.
