Rear view of the Old Mill at Keston, with cyclist and horse-drawn cart on road.

Unknown photographer, 1900-1920

Location: Keston, Bromley

Inventory no: 2005/141

20th Century London caption: This rural image, taken near the village of Keston, shows a cyclist and horse-drawn cart on the road in front of the Old Mill. This mill on Keston common is the oldest in Kent. It has not worked since a violent storm in 1878 severely damaged its sails. Keston is now a suburb in south London, in the borough of Bromley.
