Royal Naval Division (RND) motorbuses at Boulogne harbour during the early days of the First World War. Two D-type Daimler buses stand in the rain; that in the foreground has number D218. A soldier in waterproof cape can be seen adjusting a tarpaulin carrying the initials LGOC at the front of the bus. Other men are sitting on the top deck. Three soldiers in capes stand by the second bus. Railway carriages can be seen in the background, and behind these, the funnels of a ship.
