District Railway station gardens competition, 1924. Judges examining garden area at the rear of platform at Northfields Underground station. A train of District line stock is standing in the platform; the guard can be seen in the doorway, looking away from the camera towards the station buildings. The gardens were awarded a second prize in the competition.
