Ye Olde King & Tinker Inn near White Webbs Park, Enfield. Parts of this inn date from the 16th century and it's thought a inn has stood on this site for over a 1000 years.

20th Century London caption: Parts of Ye Olde King and Tinker Inn in Enfield date from the 16th century, and it is thought an inn has stood on this site for over 1,000 years. This picture was taken between 1910 and 1920, but the pub still stands in a rural location close to the M25. At the end of the 19th century, Enfield Town began to assume its modern, urban appearance. Enfield had rows of shops on Town Parade, Silver Street and Church Street. Suburban houses were built in mock-Tudor styles from 1900 onwards. By 1920, the built-up area had reached its easternmost limit at Clive Road.
