Passengers for the first Baker Street & Waterloo Railway (Bakerloo line) train at Baker Street station. An elegantly dressed woman is putting her ticket into the gate, watched by a member of staff. Behind her are a boy and girl with a dog on a lead, and an elderly bearded man with a parcel under his arm. On the right, passengers are queueing to enter the lifts to the platforms, whilst in the background others descend the stairs to the booking hall. Taken from the 'Illustrated London News', 10 March 1906.
