LGOC knifeboard horse bus, nearside view. The bus has an iron rung roof ladder and decency boards, but (apparently) no brakes. The vehicle livery displays the word Favorite. The bus is operating on a route between Holloway, Highbury and Canonbury via Upper Street, Islington. Licence No.6306. Fourteen men wearing top hats and formal dress crowd the top deck, posing for the camera. Other passengers fill the lower deck. Onlookers stand around the bus, which is parked in front of trees in a suburban street.

Photographed by Rhodes, 1865 - 1890
