Gloucester Road Underground station, Brompton Metropolitan and Metropolitan Railways. Exterior view of the street elevation featuring the newly constructed station with building work still in progress, workmen stand infront of the station entrance. This is a two storey building, the upper level parapet with decorative balustrading displays "Metropolitan & Met. District Railways, Gloucester Road station, Brompton". The arched windows design is continued through to the high arched entrances, which lead into the booking office and are covered by a canopy. Two hanging spherical light fittings hang above each of the entrances.
