Wreckage of an LGOC Garden seat horse bus, 'Chiswick and Oxford Circus' route.The bus was struck by a LSW Railway locomotive at a level crossing near Grove Park, Chiswick. The photograph shows the mangled lower deck of the bus and interior body panels (displaying Fares board and Pears soap advert). A crowd form a wall of bodies in the background.

20th Century London caption: This is the wreck of a London General Omnibus Company 'garden seat' horse bus on the Chiswick and Oxford Circus route. It had been struck by a London South West Railway locomotive at the level crossing near Grove Park, Chiswick. A crowd stands in the background. By 1914 the level crossing had been replaced by a bridge over the railway.
