Stairwell entrance to King's Cross St Pancras Underground station, Metropolitan, Circle, Piccadilly and Northern lines, located on the east side of Euston Road East, with St Pancras mainline station and Hotel in the background. The stairwell is enclosed by a brick wall; a silhouette roundel, with three information bars beneath, mounted on a brick column, stands to the left of the entrance. The white paint on the brickwork was originally applied during the wartime blackout. Trolleybus wires and a double-headed electric lighting standard can be seen in Euston Road.
