Nearside view of LS-Type bus (LS9) at Chiswick Works. 12 LS-Types were produced in 1927, this one has an open staircase. The LS was the first double deck bus fitted with pneumatic tyres and six wheels; all were withdrawn in 1937 as a result of being too heavy and too slow.
