20th Century London caption: People promenade along the riverside at Richmond on a hot summer's day, some shading themselves with parasols. Others are embarking or cruising in boats and punts. Punting is a traditional Thames sport, and can be a soothing way to travel. There are many boats on the river, and others moored along the banks waiting for customers.
