High Street Kensington station during construction. The metal girders of the roof are in place, and some of the glass has already been installed; the timber frame upon which the roof was erected is still in place, however. The retaining walls are also largely complete, but work has not yet started on the platforms. Note the temporary open-sided building in right foreground, probably used for storing materials. The vast majority of the workman are staring at the photographer, but note the man third left (possibly a surveyor), who is looking towards his right.
