Cartoon illustration captioned : The Downing Street Cad. Conductor 'Would any 'Party'go Out to oblige a Lady'. Dated 15 May 1852. Man on top deck says: 'Oh? you dont catch me coming out on the Knifeboard again to make room for a party of swells' This was the first printed use of the term 'Knifeboard'.
