In a ceremony held at Baker Street station, Metropolitan 1921-electric locomotive no 8 was renamed 'Sherlock Holmes', with nameplates presented by the Sherlock Holmes Society. In this shot, A B B Valentine, on right, a member of LTE, is making a speech, watched, on the left, by Mr S C Roberts (wearing a bow tie), President of the Society.
