British troops standing on the quay side at Ostend in Belgium (in uniform, carrying kit bags and rifles), wait to be transported by boat to a new base. A MET open top motorbus, used to carry wounded soldiers, stands background centre. An LGOC B-type bus converted into a lorry, stands background left (three quarter rear view). Both vehicles are partly obscured by crowds of civilians.
