A mass demonstration in Berlin, after the First World War. There are two large monuments in the square; a figure on a plinth surrounded with four classical figures stands in the midground. The Victory Column, a stone column surmounted with a figure (with a ring of columns at its base), stands in background. Dense crowds of people fill the square, including some armed soldiers in the foreground .
