Station gardens competition 1934. The judges viewing platform flower beds at Willesden Green Underground station, which were awarded a third prize in the Metropolitan line section; Stationmaster Prince is in conversation with Sir Edward Holland, midground left. The stanchions with horizontal arms on the platform formed part of a system for the prompt dispatch of trains.
