High angled view, apparently taken from the booking hall, of the northern end of the island platform at Hendon Central station, on the Edgware extension of the Northern line, with twin tunnel mouths in the background. A two storey signal cabin with an exterior staircase and a distinctive tiled roof stands at the end of the platform. Two tombstone-style signs with overhead illumination can be seen on the platform. A northbound train of 1923 standard-tube stock stands on the far side of the platform. Workmen with drums of electric cabling stand on the platform and between the tracks.
