B-Type bus No B1691, Reg LF8469, outside Wincarnis, wine & spirit merchants at Abbey Wood, next to the garage. The driver and conductor Robert Boyd (in his first year of service, working from Plumstead Garage) stand in front of the bus, posing for the camera. The bus is in side-on position, Route 48, destination Paddington Green, but there are no passengers. (Mr Boyd worked on the buses for 48 years - information from Mr Boyd's daughter, Mrs Boyd Raffey who donated the photograph 15 5 1980).
