20th Century London caption: Mrs Lafinmakin was a recruited from the West Indies. Like many young women who joined London Transport and immigrated to start a new life in the U.K., she found herself working in the canteens. Mrs Lafinmakin was a canteen assistant. This picture from 1971 shows her pouring tea for a customer.
