High angle view of queues of people, three or four deep in places, lining each side of a street near Clapham Common on August Bank Holiday 1921. On the right, a B-type bus, bound for Virginia Water on route 117, faces the camera, with the conductor and driver in conversation. Two more B-types can be seen in rear view further down the street. Scaffolding surrounds the building in the left foreground, the wooden fence separating it from the pavement providing a convenient site for advertising posters.
