20th Century London caption: The woman in this photo is Mrs E M Thurgar. She was a conductor on a London Transport trolleybus and worked out of Hammersmith depot, where the photo was taken. The two men are also conductors. The photo was taken at in 1947. The three workmates are sitting in the canteen playing dominoes. Judging by the number of domino tournament trophies held in London's Transport Museum's collection, dominoes was a popular pastime.
