A male passenger, sitting on the top deck of an LGOC B-type motor bus, demonstrates the use of a waterproof seat cover and knee apron. The waterproof covers were being introduced on open top buses and trams from around 1912. Warning notices highlighting the possible dangers to passengers travelling on the top deck are on display.

20th Century London caption: A passenger demonstrates the use of a waterproof seat cover and knee apron on top of a London General Omnibus Company (L.G.O.C.) B-type motorbus. The waterproof covers were introduced on open-top buses and trams from around 1912. The B-type was London's first reliable motorbus and was on the road by autumn 1910. Warning notices highlight the possible dangers to passengers.
