Construction work at Holborn Underground station, Central line. Excavation work in progress of the Westbound, 25 foot (radius) station tunnel. A group of labourers stand on a wooden platform within a section of tunnel, the Piccadilly Running Tunnel (pipeline structure) runs beneath them, foreground bottom left. The cylindrical tunnel roof is supported by curved steel sections bolted together. Vertical wooden beams support the roof structure, foreground right, Two workmen in suits and caps stand foreground left and right. See U8673
