London Bridge and the south bank of the river Thames as seen from Adelaide House. A long queue of motor buses (K, S and NS-Types, covered and open top) and commercial vehicles extends across the bridge, heading north into the city. The Hays Wharf warehouse buildings occupy the waterfront area around London Bridge on the South bank. A large steam boat is moored to the left of the bridge. A string of river barges cluster round the wharf buildings. The spires of Southwark Cathedral and Guy's Hospital tower above the horizon line.
