High Street Kensington station under construction. It can be seen that the metal arched ribbed roof, end screen and retaining walls have been completed, and work has begun on the platforms. In the foreground, a line of navvies are digging a trench, and putting spoil into railway wagons. The large building, foreground right, was presumably used for storing contractor's materials.
