Three quarter front offside view of Beyer Peacock 4-4-0T Metropolitan A-class locomotive no 27 seen here in a rural setting. This locomotive was one of 66 which formed the backbone of the Metropolitan motive power for many years. Note the tripcock by the bogie wheels.
