Platform view of High Street Kensington station, looking north, probably taken shortly before opening. The building is substantially complete, and signage and hanging glass gas lamps have been installed; it can be seen, however, that some men are at work completing the wooden decking of the platform on the left. Note the line of posts running down the middle of the island platform on the right.
