Three quater rear offside view of Metropolitan Railway Beyer Peacock 4-4-0T steam locomotive no 2 of 1862. It was used prior to the electrification of the line. It is fitted with Smith's simple vacuum brake; the photograph was taken not later than 1893 when an automatic vacuum brake was introduced. The driver and fireman pose on the locomotive.
