View of Golders Green, looking north along the Finchley Road, which may have been an extended Regent's Park Road at this time, taken specifically to compare with a similar view dated 1906 (negative 24783), to illustrate the rapid development of this suburb. Angle shows the site of the War Memorial, which has not yet been built but is heralded by a large sign on the right, with a Hampstead Tube train visible in the background on an embankment, with shops around the intersection on the left, including Salmon & Son, a branch of W H Smith, Owers Estate Agents, and a bank which is now a Midland branch. The road is fairly clear, with a small number of horse-drawn vehicles, mostly in the background.
